Welcome to YMSL Wildcat Chapter

To assist, serve, support those who are in need in our community.

For ever after, we're the WILDCAT Chapter!

The Wildcat Chapter of YMSL was founded in 2009 as part of expanding the YMSL organization.  The young men participating in the Wildcat Chapter typically attend feeder schools in the Plano Senior High attendance zones, as well as the Plano Academy School, private schools and home school.  We maintain a membership of approximately 100 mothers with their sons.  Last year, we volunteered over 3800 hours in the community and donated over 500 “Wish List” items to those in need in Plano and surrounding communities.
Wildcat Chapter mothers and sons work together in YMSL’s four year program serving their community through volunteering for local philanthropies.  Boys attend meetings to learn about leadership and civic responsibility, financial and budget planning, college and career planning, and other life skills such as cooking, etiquette, and automobile maintenance.

Each year the chapter undertakes a large project for one philanthropy - called the Ultimate Gift -- in which every mom and son works over a weekend to provide a dramatic transformation for that philanthropy. In 2018, the Ultimate Gift project was performed at The North Texas Food Bank. Click to read all about it in  Plano BubbleLife      .
